Prescriptions or Bills?

You do not have to choose between them

I had a client the other day who told me that she had a prescription that cost her $800/month to refill. Guess who wasn't taking her prescriptions?

I asked her what insurance she had, and she told me she had cancelled that insurance, because it did not help with her prescription anyways, and cost even more money each month.

So we looked up the plans in her area, and were able to find her health coverage for under $5/month with the subsidies she was able to utilize, and that insurance did help with her prescription, so she only had to pay $40/month for it.

Fortunately, she had just moved her mother in for her to be able to take care of her, so she had an SEP (special enrollment period), which we used to sign her up, and now she doesn't have to go without her medicine.

I have heard this story many times, if you or somebody you know is in a similar situation, please reach out so we can see if there are alternatives. Only takes a few minutes to find out and maybe 15-20 minutes total from beginning to end of application!
